Pride Live & OUTLOUD Present:

Stonewall Day 2021 - Hybrid Event

Stonewall Day at the Coliseum – Social Media Strategy for a Global Hybrid Event
Presented by Pride Live | Part of the Twitch Pride Festival by OutLoud

As Social Media Manager for Stonewall Day 2021, I led the end-to-end digital and content strategy for this landmark hybrid event, broadcast live from the historic LA Coliseum as part of the Twitch Pride Festival. With over 2.1 million unique livestream views, the event connected new generations to the Stonewall legacy through a dynamic mix of live performances, tributes, and cultural storytelling—both on-site and online.

I oversaw all aspects of social media planning, real-time content execution, and audience engagement across platforms. This included coordinating coverage across Twitch, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook; creating social-first assets featuring celebrity talent and speakers; and collaborating with press, partner, and talent teams to maximize campaign amplification.

By translating a six-hour live program into compelling, engaging digital content in real time, I helped position Stonewall Day 2022 as a standout hybrid experience—fusing entertainment, activism, and queer legacy into a globally accessible celebration.

Key Highlights:

  • Developed and executed an integrated multi-platform campaign to support pre-event buzz, live coverage, and post-show impact

  • Created and distributed real-time content featuring talent such as Adam Lambert, Sam Sparro, Demi Lovato, Whoopi Goldberg, Boy George, and Maya Rudolph

  • Partnered with the Twitch Pride Festival and OutLoud Music Festival teams to align messaging and cross-promotions

  • Managed social storytelling that elevated the work of featured nonprofits including TransLash, TransTechSocial, and GLAAD

  • Supported content distribution around on-site activations, including a live mural painting turned NFT, auctioned on Charitybuzz

  • Helped drive record-breaking viewership and trending moments on social, reinforcing the campaign’s cultural resonance
