Pride Live’s Stonewall Day: Unplugged

Stonewall Day Unplugged – Social Media Strategy & Management
Produced by Pride Live in partnership with Google and GLAAD

As Social Media Manager for Stonewall Day Unplugged, I led the digital campaign for this powerful, music-driven tribute honoring the legacy of the Stonewall uprising and amplifying LGBTQ+ voices in the fight for equality. The event featured intimate performances and conversations with prominent LGBTQ+ and allied artists, including Betty Who, Mila Jam, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Robin S.

In my role, I developed and executed the full social media strategy across Pride Live’s channels—crafting compelling messaging, coordinating creative assets, and managing live coverage to drive engagement before, during, and after the event. I also collaborated closely with partner organizations like GLAAD and Google to align promotional efforts and maximize cross-platform reach.

Key Contributions:

  • Created and scheduled a multi-week content calendar to build anticipation and momentum

  • Managed real-time social coverage during the livestream, including artist soundbites and community reactions

  • Amplified stories of queer joy and resilience through curated reels, quote cards, and custom graphics

  • Drove a significant boost in impressions and engagement, reinforcing Pride Live’s brand voice and mission

Stonewall Day Unplugged was more than a performance—it was a moment of reflection, resistance, and celebration. Through thoughtful and inclusive digital storytelling, I helped translate that energy online, expanding its impact and reach within the LGBTQ+ community and beyond.
