PRIDE LIVE’S STONEWALL DAY 2020: VIRTUAL EVENT
Stonewall Day 2020 – Social Media Strategy & Execution
Presented by Pride Live | Streamed live on Logo, iHeartRadio, and social platforms
As Social Media Manager for Stonewall Day 2020, I led the digital amplification of one of the most high-profile virtual Pride events ever produced. With a historic lineup including President Barack Obama, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Cynthia Erivo, Cristian Siriano, and Demi Lovato, the event united celebrities, activists, and allies to honor the legacy of the Stonewall uprising and advocate for LGBTQ+ equality.
In this role, I was responsible for developing and executing the social media campaign from pre-launch through live broadcast and post-event engagement. My work spanned content creation, platform strategy, real-time coverage, and partner amplification—helping to drive millions of impressions and position the event as a cultural moment during an unprecedented Pride season.
Key Highlights:
Oversaw content strategy across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and GIPHY, aligning with brand voice and partner messaging
Managed live social coverage of the event, including rapid-fire video clips, quote graphics, and celebrity shoutouts
Collaborated with ViacomCBS and other media partners to amplify reach across corporate and talent accounts
Supported the launch of a custom GIPHY sticker page that received 90M+ views
Contributed to a campaign that generated 1.3M livestream views, 450M total audience reach, and 350M unique press stories
Named the #1 Virtual Pride Event by Cosmopolitan Magazine
Through strategic storytelling and digital coordination, I helped Stonewall Day 2020 become not just a livestream—but a viral rallying cry for LGBTQ+ visibility and solidarity.
