Spark Serves x Paramount Advertising – Empowering HBCU First Students
I event managed Spark Serves in partnership with Paramount Advertising and Spark Foundry, delivering a powerful virtual and in-person volunteer experience supporting HBCU First—a nonprofit dedicated to advancing college-to-career pathways for Black youth. This multi-city event provided professional development, mentorship, and direct resources to students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
Key Highlights:
Nationwide Impact: Engaged 86 HBCU First students through a Masterclass in Pitching, helping them build confidence and essential career skills.
Hands-On Support: Coordinated 20+ volunteers in New York, Chicago, and virtually to assemble and distribute 70 Finals Study Kits, giving students practical support during exam season.
Pitch Competition: Judged 19 student elevator pitches, providing detailed feedback and awarding prizes up to $250, recognizing outstanding student talent.
Significant Contribution: Raised a $5,000 donation for HBCU First, funding networking opportunities for 250 students.
Outstanding Feedback: Surveys revealed 100% of attendees and volunteers were satisfied with the experience and eager to join future events; average satisfaction scores were 4.8/5.
Strategic Promotion: Amplified the event’s reach through social media posts and customized promotional materials on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
This program exemplified the power of corporate-nonprofit partnerships to deliver meaningful social impact, while directly empowering the next generation of Black leaders.
