Marketing Manager – Pines Party 2021

As Marketing Manager for Pines Party 2021, I oversaw the end-to-end marketing strategy and execution for this iconic Fire Island event, delivering comprehensive campaigns that drove awareness, engagement, and attendance—all in support of Pines Party’s mission to raise funds for LGBTQIA+ health services and community organizations through celebration and shared experience.

Key Responsibilities & Achievements:

  • Strategic Planning: Developed and maintained an integrated marketing calendar to ensure cohesive promotion across all channels.

  • Creative Management: Led collaboration with the graphic design team to produce timely, high-quality assets, including posters, banners, and flyers.

  • Digital Communications: Composed and approved weekly e-blasts to the Pines Party mailing list, crafting messaging that engaged and informed audiences.

  • Partner Coordination: Developed schedules and coordinated e-blasts and social media posts distributed by promotional and media partners, amplifying reach.

  • Social Media Strategy: Created and implemented a comprehensive social media plan to increase online engagement and community excitement.

  • Website Integration: Aligned marketing efforts with the Pines Party website manager to maintain consistent branding and up-to-date information.

  • Auction Promotion: Supported marketing for the Pines Party online auction, driving participation and fundraising success.

  • Partnership Management: Negotiated, documented, and tracked agreements with media and charitable partners, ensuring the Pines Foundation met its promotional commitments.

  • Mission-Driven Collaboration: Worked closely with the Executive Producer to align marketing activities with overall event objectives and the mission to fundraise for LGBTQIA+ health initiatives and community support programs.

Impact:
Through these efforts, Pines Party 2021 raised over $400,000 for its beneficiaries—an all-time record for the event and double the amount raised in 2019. From these proceeds, a $60,000 grant was approved for Stonewall Community Foundation to support its critical grantmaking program targeting NYC-area LGBTQ+ nonprofits. This success underscored the event’s role not only as a beloved celebration but also as a major source of financial support for the Pines Foundation, Stonewall Community Foundation, and the Seashore Defense Fund.

Through this role, I helped deliver a high-profile, mission-driven event that celebrated community, raised vital funds for LGBTQIA+ causes, and reinforced Pines Party’s legacy as a meaningful force for good.
