Fiver Children’s Foundation x Paramount Global Career Day Visit

As part of Paramount’s commitment to community engagement and youth development, I organized and managed a special career exploration event in partnership with the Fiver Children’s Foundation. The event welcomed high school students from underserved communities to Paramount’s offices for an inspiring day of learning, mentorship, and celebration.

The day began with a career panel moderated by Shay Smallwood, featuring five Paramount professionals from diverse roles, including marketing, client partnerships, and corporate social responsibility. Panelists shared candid insights on their career journeys, offered advice on networking and breaking into the media industry, and discussed the importance of diversity and inclusion at Paramount. The panel discussion was designed around thoughtful questions prepared in advance to guide students through topics such as career development strategies, the power of mentorship, and standing out in competitive fields.

Following the panel, students participated in a networking lunch with Paramount team members, allowing them to make personal connections and practice professional communication skills in a supportive setting. The event concluded with a surprise appearance by SpongeBob SquarePants, celebrating both the 25th anniversary of the Fiver Children’s Foundation and the iconic animated character’s 25th birthday—adding a moment of joy and excitement to the day.

This collaborative event exemplified the power of corporate social responsibility in creating meaningful, educational experiences for youth while showcasing Paramount’s dedication to fostering future generations of media professionals.
